IBAB is a 'Centre of Excellence for Research and Training in Bioinformatics' of the Department of Information Technology, Government of India.

Eligibility:  A recognised BSc Degree in any branch of Science or Technology, viz. Life Sciences (Agriculture, Biotechnology etc.), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Pharma, Veterinary or Medicine with minimum of 55% marks.  Students awaiting their results can also apply, provided their average percentage of previous Semesters / Years is at least 55%.
Selection process: Written test, followed by interview

Fill up all details on – line and separately send  draft, 2 passport size photos and photocopies of mark sheets to IBAB Bangalore by Post / Courier. Or
Application form can be obtained by sending a request by Post / courier along with a draft.
Application Processing Fees (non – refundable) Rs 500/- for students from India, Rs1,000/- for NRI / Foreign students. A Demand Draft for the above mentioned amount in favour of “Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology” payable at Bengaluru, should be sent either with the request for IBAB Bangalore Application Form (by post / courier) or with the filled in IBAB Bangalore Application Form (if downloaded).
