The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) was established in 1998 as an autonomous university which focuses on the core areas of Information Technology, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and their applications in other domains.
Post-Graduate Student Status Programme
About: The PGSS Programme (PGSSP) provides an opportunity for professionals in the Hyderaba area to benefit from the advanced courses offered at the institute. The post-graduate status can be accorded to a professional on the basis of his or her academic and experience record. Once someone is awarded the PG status, he or she can take a maximum of two courses at the institute every semester. This provides him or her with the opportunity to acquire new knowledge in chosen areas without committing to a formal programme. The courses taken under the PGSSP scheme can count towards a formal degree from the institute, should the student join one of the full-time or part-time programmes subsequently.
Eligibility: Admission to the PGSSP is based on the academic and professional record of the applicants. Sample qualifications include: a Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, MCA, or a Masters degree in Science/Mathematics. Professionals with 1 or more years of experience in software design and development may also apply.
Application Fee: Rs. 800 through DD in favour of "IIIT, Hyderabad " payable at Hyderabad to "Chair, Standing Committee, IIIT-H, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500 032" on or before July 15, 2011 by 4 PM.
